TRAINING (all venues) – July 30:
Training for all downhill venues and courses, 10am-4pm – with the exception of Dual Slalom, which will be held from 4-5pm. Be advised, all Bike Park trails will be open to the public, with the exception of the Slopestyle/Best Trick and Dual Slalom courses.

ALL-MOUNTAIN SUPER DOWNHILL– July 31:
The Crankworx Colorado All-Mountain Super Downhill is a new event for 2008. The race is designed for the super downhill athlete with a higher level of fitness and strong descending skills. The course will be 30-35 minutes in length with a minimum of 10 minutes of climbing. There will be a combined champion awarded (read – prize $$) for the All-Mountain Super Downhill and Super Downhill based on total time.

Course Route:
Start on mountain road at Jabberwocky ski trail (about 0.2 miles down road from Sunspot Lodge/top of Zephyr lift)
Ride up the mountain road to Lower Roof of the Rockies
Right onto Lower Roof of the Rockies and follow to Gunbarrel
Gunbarrel to the bottom of the High Lonesome lift
Turn left onto Long Trail
Down Long Trail to the road at the top of Boot Camp
Turn right and cross to The Boulevard
Down The Boulevard to the finish in the expo area

Course length: 6.5 miles; vertical drop is 1670 feet

Rules:
All athletes are expected to attend the rider’s meeting
Helmets are required
Awards presentation time and location will be announced at the riders meeting
Athletes must be present to receive awards
Results will be posted at the finish area
Protests must be filed within 15 minutes of initial results posting

DOWNHILL TRAINING – July 31:

To access, take "The Lost Trail" from the top of the Olympia Express to Fantasy Meadow, then to Mountain Goat.

SUPER DOWNHILL – July 31:
The Crankworx Colorado Super Downhill will be a flowy course requiring short sections of climbing. Passing opportunities will be at a premium, so take advantage of them when you get them. This is an event with a mass start for each class. First (short) section of trail will be a climb to spread out the field. There will be a combined champion awarded (read – prize $$) for the All-Mountain Super Downhill and Super Downhill based on total time.

Course route:
LeMans style start on mountain road at Jabberwocky ski trail (about 0.2 miles down road from Sunspot Lodge/top of Zephyr lift)
Ride up the mountain road to the start of Cheyenne
Down Cheyenne to Five Points
Turn right and climb the upper Pipe Cut to The Boulevard
Down The Boulevard to the finish in the expo area

Course length: 3.8 miles; vertical drop is 1610 feet

The slopestyle is a single-line course featuring drops, dirt Jumps, elevated wall rides, and elevated stunts. Crankworx Colorado slopestyle is an open event with an additional Top 10 riders being invited based on the Kokanee Crankworx invitee list.

Format: BEST score of 2 runs, Top 20 riders advance to semi-finals on Saturday

Rules:
• All athletes are expected to attend the rider’s meeting
• Helmets are required
• Finalist announcement time and location will be communicated at the riders meeting
• Results will be posted at the finish area of the Downhill
• Official Results will be posted within 24 hours of the event

DOWNHILL – August 1:
Course Route:

Awards will be given for top 3 fastest runs; one run determines time

Pro Division (this is not a sanctioned Downhill event, so no license is required to race in the Pro Division):
Top 10 times (male) and top 5 times (female) from first run get second run; best time from top 10 male and top 5 female athletes’ first OR second run will determine placing; second round will be started in reverse order from first run times

The Crankworx Colorado Best Trick course utilizes the same course as the slopestyle event and is designed by John Cowan, Aaron Chase and Gravity Logic. The course features drops, dirt Jumps, elevated wall rides, and elevated stunts.

Jam format: Athletes will session two different sections within the slopestyle course and the winners will be based on the sickest trick stomped in EACH section

• Awards presentation time and location will be announced at the rider’s meeting
• Results will be posted at the finish area of the Downhill
• Official Results will be posted within 24 hours of the event

CROSS COUNTRY RACE – August 2:
Pro Division:
• Riders will pick up registration packets at the Crankworx athlete registration area. All other riders will register with the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series registration tent.
• Cash prizes in both Men’s and Women’s divisions

Age Group Division:
• Riders will register with the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series registration tent

The Crankworx Colorado Slopestyle course is designed by John Cowan, Aaron Chase and Gravity Logic. The slopestyle is a single-line course featuring drops, dirt Jumps, elevated wall rides, and elevated stunts.

Schedule:
• Official course inspection, 11am-1pm
• Riders meeting, 1:30pm at bottom of the course
• Semi-finals start at 2pm, with the Super Finals immediately following

Format:
In the Semi-finals, the riders best score of 2 runs will be used to determine the Super Finalists; the Super Finals will include the Top 10 from the Semi-finals. In the Super Finals, the Top 10 will keep their best score from the Semi-finals and attempt to better in in 1 final run. Riders will go in reverse order from the Semi-Final score.

DUAL SLALOM – August 3
The Crankworx Colorado Dual Slalom course is a quck and flowy track featuring table tops, in-sloped turns, step-ups and step-downs. The track weaves between the slopestyle course and will provide a great venue for athletes and specatators alike. It's head-to-head high speed action with two riders side by side on parallel tracks – first to the bottom wins.

Format:
In the Time Trials, the riders get two runs and the best time will count for qualifying/seeding. The number of riders advancing to the Elimination Finals will be determined for each category based on registration totals and the results of the Time Trials. In the Finals, the winner of the head to head two run differential-time race will advance to the next round.
